Thanda back in Premiership
Thanda Royal Zulu beat their closest National First Division championship rivals, Stellenbosch FC 2-1 to ensure their automatic promotion to the Absa Premiership with three games to spare.

Amabhubesi’s promotion came as no surprise as the team have led the NFD Standings since the beginning of the season and have lost just once in 27 matches.
Kaizer Chiefs loanee Khotso Molepo and Michael Gumede scored to ensure Roger Sikhakhane’s team pocket the full points while former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Mame Niang found the net for Stellies.
While Amabhubesi were celebrating their return to the elite league however, former Premiership champions, Santos moved closer to getting relegated to the ABC Motsepe League with only a miracle of biblical proportions likely to save them following a 1-1 draw with Jomo Cosmos.
