Ubuntu not worried about Ramagalela

Ubuntu Cape Town FC assistant coach Jean-Pierre Faruggia says there is no special plan for Polokwane City’s danger-man Rodney Ramagalela when the two sides meet in the first round of the Nedbank Cup at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night.

“We don’t have a special plan for Ramagalela. He’s strong and has powerful speed. We just need to play our game and focus on our strengths,” Faruggia told the media.

“We believe in the youthful players and hopefully a game like this gives them the opportunity to build their confidence and we can enjoy a good day.”

Despite banking on the youth, the Ubuntu assistant added that the experience of former Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns and Highlands Park winger Franklin Cale will be vital for the club and he works very hard.

“He’s a fantastic character. He’s the kind of guy that if he sees a player needs boots, he’ll go out and get them. He works really hard at training and we need leaders like him. His experience will be very important for us tomorrow [today].”
