Walusimbi was served by karma – Kerr

Dylan Kerr has suggested that Godfrey Walusimbi is being served by karma after he was given his clearance by Kaizer Chiefs.

Walusimbi dumped Kenyan side Gor Mahia – which was coached by Kerr at the time – to join Chiefs last August. He left Mahia under unpleasant circumstances, forcing his move to Naturena in what Kerr described as “selfish” reasons. However, Walusimbi failed to impress and was deemed surplus to requirements.

Amakhosi dismissed the Ugandan international less than six months since he joined the club.

“He did the wrong thing. Players do the wrong things and go against the people who are paying their salaries,” said Kerr.

“Doing things the right way is how I was brought up because I worked with people and I played with people from a young age and I learnt that you can’t decide to jump ship because you feel like it, and that’s what he did.

“I don’t blame him for trying to better himself but you have to do it the right way. This is the thing that has upset my chairman with the two players who have signed pre-contracts,” he added.
