Shonga’s poison is Mhango’s meat as French interest turns to the Malawian

Mhango has been in devastating form this season, having scored 15 goals in the league so far.

With a lack of game time for Justin Shonga resulting in French side Stade de Reims losing their interest, Phakaaathi has learnt that it has now opened the chance for another Orlando Pirates striker at the club where former Bucs midfielder Marshall Munetsi now plays.

“While trying to follow Shonga’s progress, they were alerted to (Gabadinho) Mhango’s prowess this season and they look to have developed some interest. They haven’t made any official contact with either Pirates or his manager yet, but maybe now that their league was cancelled they can focus on that. Munetsi did well there and opened the way for others now,” said a source.

Mhango has been in devastating form this season, having scored 15 goals in the league, which sets him up for the Golden Boot award at the end of the season.
