Mosimane is rumoured to have sent scouts to look for a South American striker, meaning he would have to let go of one of his foreign players to free up space to adhere to the PSL’s foreign quota.

“Pitso calls South America his gold mine because he has had great players like Ricardo Nascimento, Leonardo Castro and Gaston Sirino all coming from that part of the world,” said a source.

Meanwhile, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says the Brazilians are playing for ‘pride’.

Sundowns moved to within seven points of the AmaKhosi after their 2-1 victory over SuperSport United in the Tshwane derby on Sunday afternoon.

Mosimane, however, insists that Sundowns are targeting a Caf Champions League spot.
