Sundowns supporters involved in horrific crash after Chiefs clash

All the passengers are reportedly 'fine'.

Mamelodi Sundowns supporters were involved in a horrific accident while driving home from the match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in which Mamelodi Sundowns lost to Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

According to the Mamelodi Sundowns Durban fan account on Twitter, the victims in the taxi were from Soshanguve. The supporters reportedly only sustained minor injuries.

Some social media users who claimed to have been in the taxi responded and said they were “fine”, though Domingo Bandzo wrote: “Drove past the accident scene yesterday around 3pm just before the game ko Gezina. It was bad, there was a guy wearing a chiefs jersey, he was bleeding profusely. I hope they are ok.”

Coach Pitso Mosimane also sent his well wishes to the fans.

He wrote: “Nobody deserves this, no matter who you support. I hope all the supporters are safe! If anybody knows the situation, please let me know! Ke nane lena Masandawana [I am with you].”
