Marievale bird watching, and star gazing was an experience
The Marievale nature reserve brought a new meaning to dancing under the stars as people got together to observe the birds and look at the night skies
Last Saturday, the Marievale Bird Sanctuary and nature reserve hosted its bird watching and star gazing experience.
This was aimed at educating people on the importance of conservation as well as giving them a lecture on astronomy.
There was a bring-and-braai that allowed people to come together at shared fires that were provided and to make new friends.
Specialised telescopes were later brought out to show people different constellations of the night skies.
