The transgressions that the complainant claim are taking place as stated in the complaint are now with the regional director’s office and it will be given to the precinct commander who will investigate the veracity of those claims.
The only people that are to blame are the metro’s traffic police. Perhaps if they got off their lazy posteriors, and did what they get so much money for, then our roads would be much safer.
I will make their work easier for them.
The following are just a few of the bad spots:
* Traffic lights on the corner of Wit and Charterland roads, corner of Nigel and Charterland roads (including all those who do illegal U-turns here), corner of Nigel Road and Coaton Avenue, corner Nigel and Rhokana roads and corner Wit and Rhokana roads.
* Stop signs on the corner Wit and Plover roads, Hewitt Road and Coaton Avenue (coming from Selcourt Towers) and Vogelstruisbult and Plover roads.
If these were patrolled regularly, we would have less accidents.
They could also keep all the many taxis from using Oppenheimer Circle, and the park next to Selcourt Shopping Centre as unofficial ranks.
There would also be much less mess in these parks.

In the event it is found that the mayhem claimed is fact, metro police will not hesitate to throw the book at all those who break the law.
Your publication will be informed of the outcome of the investigations as well as of interventions employed to resolve the situation.
