I am not a fortune teller, nor do I have a crystal ball, but if the EMPD don’t start putting a speed camera and officers at the top of Fourth Avenue in Geduld regularly in the late afternoon, we will soon have another very serious and probably fatal accident.
I have mentioned before that this road is 50km/hr, but speeds of 100km/hr and over are normal in the late afternoon, both by passenger cars and trucks over five tons!
Crossing it is a mission as all the vehicles travel at different speeds.
The skipping of red robots would only be a bonus for their income.
Why waste your time on the quiet early morning stint on Ermelo Road when you can attend our Indianapolis for free and make much more money, maybe saving a few lives as well, which is supposed to be your duty.

* The commander of the region, as well as the speed section, have been made aware of the complaint.
Officers will be deployed to monitor the area on a regular basis.
The outcome of the exercise will guide us on what proper action to take.
We appreciate the bringing of the complaint to our attention.
