Vet with a heart of gold

I was absolutely horrified yesterday (Sunday, February 23) when I had an emergency.

My great dane has recently (three weeks ago) had puppies, seen of them.

The mother was taking brilliant care of them and they were beautiful pure bred danes.

On Sunday the seven puppies all of sudden became sick and one of them died.

We were extremely concerned and immediately (as soon as we noticed) got on the phone to our veterinary hospital.

Having been a patient of theirs for some years now I expected to get some help from the vet as to what we should do.

It just so happened to be 5.45pm when we phoned.

We were told in no uncertain terms that the vet was closing in 10 minutes and therefore we could not take our puppies down to him to see if we could save them.

Needless to say I have to wonder why a vet would not want to try save animals.

I then took the puppies to the Selection Park Veterinary Clinic at 5.55pm and was helped immediately, with the vet working late to help us.

The vet being as wonderful and supportive as he could checked my puppies and we have managed to save four of them from dying.

I will never again take any of my dogs to an uncaring cold vet who is simply not interested should he have to work one minute late.

I will also recommend the Selection Park Veterinary clinic to everyone as being a man with a big heart who is in the business of helping animals.
