Afrikaans is the second-sexiest accent in the world, poll reveals
The Nigerian accent took 29th place and we even have an excerpt you can try reading.

A travel blog recently shocked South Africans after publishing poll results showing that one of our languages has been voted as the second-sexiest accent in the world.
Big 7 Travel said it asked its readers from all over the world to vote for the sexiest accent and the Afrikaans accent took second place, while the Nigerians took 29th place. The Zimbabwean English use of “old-fashioned words” and “open vowels” earned it a nice 20th place.
“Afrikaans is a hugely popular accent with many people across the globe, thanks to their unique tones and Saffa slang,” says the website.

Not only did our accent take second place, but our country also took fifth place as the most Instagrammable place in the world.
The Botanical Gardens in Durban and Inanda Mountain in Durban, and the Cape Point and Kloof Corner in Cape Town were some of the spots that received recognition by the website.
