VANDERBIJLPARK – Sasa Dlamini, a promising young tennis player from Laerskool Emfulenipark, has already earned selection to the Gauteng East U/15 team for Tennis South Africa’s national championships.

The U/13 player also qualified for the Sedibeng team in a separate round of trials for the national school sport championships. She will compete at the Gauteng provincial trials on 10 October for selection to the Gauteng team for the 2026 Summer National School Sport Championships.

Dlamini’s performances have put her in contention for two provincial teams in separate national competitions. She has already secured her place in the Gauteng East team for the Tennis SA championships, while her place in the Sedibeng school sport team gives her another opportunity to qualify for a provincial side.

At the SA School District Tennis trials at GETA on 23 September, Dlamini finished as the top-ranked U/13 girl and qualified to represent Sedibeng at the Gauteng trials.
