VEREENIGING. – Several suburbs in the city are left without power after a fire occurred at the Duncanville Substation on Tuesday 18 August 2020.

According to a statement by the Emfuleni Local Municipality areas that are affected include Vereeniging Ext.1, Steelpark, Homer, Roods Garden, Arcon Park, Waldrift, Springcoll, Duncanville, Unitaspark, Redan, the area around Kopanong Hospital and Tshepiso.

At the time of going to press power was expected to be restored in phases from Friday 21 August 2020.
