To carry out the installation of a check meter in Vereeniging, Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) has announced water supply interruption.

According to the municipality, the interruption will begin on Friday (13 August) from 08h00 to 16h00.

The interruption will affect Duncanville, Powerville and Vereeniging CBD.

In a statement ELM advised affected consumers to collect water for domestic consumption only (cooking, drinking and bathroom) until the meter installation is completed.

“The municipality wishes to apologize for the inconvenience and further encourages residents to use water sparingly at all times.”
