Rotary’s Spring Tea adds bounce to your steps!

The club is grateful to all its sponsors, hostesses and supporters of the Spring Tea, who thereby contributed to the event’s success.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – Nothing can lift one’s spirit out of the rut of the past year than arranging a Spring Tea.

Adding a renowned actor and artist like Matt Stern as MC into the mix made for an unforgettable occasion.

This was exactly what The Rotary Club of Vanderbijlpark organised and it turned out to be the best energy booster to approach the rest of the year with new zest. The event was organised by Rotarian Jeanette Steyn-Nortje.

Hostesses of each individual table went out of their way to make the event memorable. The table that took first prize was Paula du Preez’s Sunflower Splash.

The ladies adored the entertainer and can’t wait to see him in action again next year!

Proceeds raised from the event will go towards this Rotary club’s ongoing “Knitting Angels” project to buy wool. They knit beanies, scarves and jerseys for children up to 15 years of age and these are then distributed to deserving organisations and individuals.

The club is grateful to all its sponsors, hostesses and supporters of the Spring Tea, who thereby contributed to the event’s success.

Among those present at Rotary Club Vanderbijlpark’s Spring Tea were from left: Jeanette Steyn-Nortje (champion), Paula du Preez (winner: Sunflower Splash table), Adri Roos, Matt Stern (MC and entertainer), Club President Celeste Lance, Past President (PP) Petro Bester, PP Sonja Gilliland, PP Rita Benecke and PP Jackie van Waveren.
Hostess Paula du Preez’s table, Sunflower Splash, was appointed as the winning table.
