Izithethe Arts Institution awards

Izithethe Arts Institution held their graduation and awards presenting ceremony recently.

The institution’s band opened the ceremony held on Friday, April 4 with music.

The graduates were motivated and encouraged to work through love in their chosen career.

Ms Sindi Xulu from Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation, said she was very proud of the achievement of the institution. She noted that it was a pride for Mpumalanga to have such an institution. She encouraged people to support them.

“We need to support our children so that they can grow wings to fly higher. We are very proud of you. Music will make them better people because they will learn a lot. They will to be disciplined, they will set aside time for their practices, music will give them a sense of achievement and music will them feel good and relieve their stresses. Mpumalanga has shown that it can be achieved and the Idols are a proof to that. We have produced Musa Sukwene, Brenden Ledwaba and Monde Msutwana,” she said.

Ms Xulu explained that her department was in a process of having a fully equipped studio in the province so that musicians don’t need to travel to Gauteng to record their work.
