But that was not all, they have also arrested 48 other suspects for various crimes.
Seven were arrested for shoplifting and seven for general theft. Two suspects landed behind bars because they trespassed. One suspect was caught after he broke into a business and three learnt that breaking into houses lands you in hot water as they too were arrested. Three persons were arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property.
Six suspects were arrested for assault and two for malicious damage to property.
Two suspects were arrested for hijacking, one for armed robbery and seven for possession and dealing in drugs.

You will be held in custody until you are able to post bail (in certain instances bail may be denied). Depending on prior convictions against you, as well as the circumstances surrounding your arrest, you face a minimum fine of R2 000 or a two-year prison sentence, or both. You may also lose your driver’s licence, or have it suspended. And, of course, you will have a criminal record.
