Three suspects posed as potential car buyers moments before robbing Motor City.

On Friday, July 8 at about 17:00 Mr Vusi Mphati, a sales consultant, was busy closing up shop and handed one of the suspects an application form as he seemed interested in buying a vehicle. While handing the ‘client’ a form another suspect walking between the cars approached him, the third suspect drew a firearm.

The suspects held Mphati at gunpoint, he stated to police that he heard one of them cock a gun behind his back.
One of the employees working with Mphati was called to the office and the suspects took a set of keys, the keys were to a Toyota Fortuner.

The robbers were able to steal the Fortuner leaving both employees unharmed.

Mr Eugene Erwee, Motor City, said that they did not wish to comment on the robbery at time of print and would later comment once police have concluded their investigations.
