When it comes to cracking down on substance abuse, Witbank Police has the art of arresting drug users, down to a tee.
Ten arrests were made over the past week.
Two of these arrests took place on September 28, one of which occurred in Sturdee Street whereby police searched a man and found him in possession of dagga.
In the other arrest in Allenby Street, police were out on patrol after 17:00 and came across a suspect, who was then searched and found in possession of drugs.
Police made another arrest on September 25 while on patrol in the Central Business District. They came across a man and searched him, they found the man in possession of drugs, a rock worth R50, and arrested him for possession of drugs.

Drugs ranging from cocaine to dagga have been confiscated during police operations, and drug dealer/user arrests.
September 26 was a good day for the men in blue as they made seven drug related arrests on the day while patrolling the CBD.
Three of these arrests were for possession of heroine. One of the arrests took place at the long distance taxi rank when a man was found in possession of a small yellow plastic bag containing heroine.
The other two arrests took place in Van Deventer Street merely 30 minutes apart. In one of the arrests a man was found in possession of straw heroine, while another man was found in possession of a rock of heroine.
The remaining four arrests also occurred in the CBD area in Main, Walter Sisulu, and Beatty Streets. The suspects were searched and found in possession of dagga.
