Miss Township finalists give back with grace

Teens set the standard by giving back to their community

Bontle (10), Kutloano Legodi (13), and Lungile Mahlangu (12), semi-finalists for Miss Township South Africa 2024, visited an orphanage in eMalahleni to donate sanitary towels.

On Saturday, April 27, the finalists were brought together to take part in the Little Girl Arise SA organisation’s campaign to distribute sanitary pads to girls in marginalised communities.

The organisation is an NPO led by Miss Township South Africa Director Koketso Makua, who is accountable for providing exceptional services, not only to the pageant queens but to the community by directing them to participate in particular responsibilities.

“The three contestants showed dedication by working together to make sure the project was a success. They were each tasked with donating 50 packets of sanitary towels and handing them over to their charity of choice,” said Wandile Litheko, pageant mentor and coach.

The girls in the orphanage facility expressed gratitude to the finalists for supplying much-needed sanitary towels.
