SoGutjhe Royal House hosts successful U15 school holiday tournament

“Our goal to keep our children off the streets during school holidays was achieved by hosting this tournament”

The annual SoGutjhe Royal House U15 school holiday tournament, held at Mabande Comprehensive High School grounds, brought together teams from the netball and soccer communities across Phola in an event filled with excitement and energy.

Soccer Tournament highlights: In a nail-biting final match, Firestone FC faced off against Milan FC. Both teams displayed remarkable talent and determination.

Despite Firestone FC’s strong efforts, Milan FC emerged victorious.

Milan FC’s coach, Ntando Mngomezulu, said, “The boys worked incredibly hard and deserved this victory. It’s a fantastic way to end the school holiday period.”

Netball tournament highlights: The netball final saw the Super Eagles go head-to-head with the Grinades. The Grinades demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, ultimately securing the championship.

Ndabezitha Sipho Sombali Mahlangu, speaking on behalf of the Royal House, praised all the teams for their participation, “Our goal to keep our children off the streets during school holidays was achieved by hosting this tournament,” he said.

 

“We’re thrilled to see so many talented young players taking part. We hope to see them all again next year.”
