Monde Ntshuntsha (22) is rapidly establishing himself as a talented and innovative artist in eMalahleni’s musical scene, thanks to his unique trap music style.

His artistic journey began at a young age, inspired by poetry and reading. Growing up, Monde’s upbringing had a profound impact on his art, and it took him off the streets.

Monde’s favourite childhood memories revolve around battling and having cyphers, laying the foundation for his future success.
“I started creating music professionally in Grade Four and mastered my craft by Grade Eight,” said Monde.

His artistic style is characterised by creativity, drawing inspiration from daily life experiences.

Emtee, Yung Swiss, Areece, and Nasty C are some of his biggest artistic influences. He’s also drawn to the family tree movement, founded by Casper Nyovest.

The Wu-Tang Clan documentary and Tupac Shakur’s All Eyez on Me have had a lasting impact on his music.

“My creativity relies on daily life experiences and dreams. I don’t follow trends, instead opting for uniqueness and originality. When faced with creative blocks, I take time off to recharge,” said Monde.

His notable achievements include winning a certificate in the Eastern Cape, a radio interview at Emalahleni FM, and performing at the Emalahleni Local Municipality Civic Theatre. He’s received awards and recognition at the Run of Arts.

Monde is currently working on an album or EP named after his daughter, Lathitha. He’s exploring new styles like Afro-pop and rap and has collaborations planned with Nkunzane.

“I hope to leave a lasting legacy in the art world, establishing a recording label for my children to manage. My advice to emerging artists is to socialise with different artists and producers to boost creativity,” he concluded.
