Kicking dreams into reality: Emalahleni LFA Tournament a huge success

The Emalahleni LFA’s Tournament brought together young footballers from various teams in the region, showcasing their talent, passion, and dedication to the sport.

Emalahleni Local Football Association (LFA) recently hosted its highly anticipated Easter Soccer Tournament, which took place at Lynnville Stadium.

The tournament, sponsored by Glencore, brought together young footballers from various teams in the region, showcasing their talent, passion, and dedication to the sport.

Tebello Nyaka, Second Deputy President of Emalahleni LFA and Technical Director, said, “This tournament is more than just a competition; it’s a platform for our young stars to shine and develop their skills. We’re proud to celebrate their achievements and commitment to football.”

The tournament featured several age groups, including U13, U15, U17, and U19, as well as a ladies’ division. Teams battled it out on the field, displaying impressive teamwork and sportsmanship. The winners of each category received trophies and individual awards, recognising outstanding players.

In the U13 category, Highveld and Young Aces emerged as champions in their respective groups. Future Stars won the U15 category, while Mpumalanga Black Aces took home the U17 title. Skhalo FC claimed the U19 championship, and Emalahleni Rainbow Ladies dominated the ladies’ division.

Individual awards were also given to outstanding players, including goalkeepers, top goal scorers, and players of the tournament. The winners were recognised for their exceptional skills and contributions to their teams’ success.
