Tsebo ‘cracks the code’ to 7 distinctions

While most of us were still trying to figure out what equals what, Tsebo was busy mastering the entire curriculum.

Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog is celebrating a phenomenal academic achievement as top learner Tsebo Mpe officially bagged seven distinctions in her final exams.

Tsebo said that your final year is not just about the volume of work, but also about how you manage.

“Since the curriculum is covered early in the year, the real difficulty lies in allocating enough time to refine weak areas,” she explained.

It also comes as no surprise that mathematics was her favourite subject. Driven by a love for problem-solving and structured thinking, she found excitement in the logic of numbers.

Her advice to the class of 2026 is simple: “Having a deep understanding of the material allows you to solve even the most complex questions.”

Tsebo said success is rarely a solo journey. She credited her strong support system as essential for surviving the final year, and expressed deep gratitude to her mother and teachers for always being available to help her master challenging topics.

The school shared in the excitement, “A huge shout-out to our Class of 2025—we are super proud of you! Special congratulations to Tsebo; you have made us incredibly proud. The Class of 2025 is a true inspiration, proving that with hard work, anything is possible.
