Brace yourself for an upcoming week-long water shutdown
Operations at the main command reservoir, the dam, and the water treatment plant will be temporarily halted next week.
The Emalahleni Local Municipality has issued a formal notice to residents about a planned week-long water shutdown.
According to the municipality, the main command reservoir, the dam, and the water treatment plant will be shut down from June 29 to July 5.
“The shutdown is necessary to facilitate essential work on the water supply infrastructure,” the municipality said.
Further details regarding affected areas, possible water supply interruptions, and contingency measures will be communicated by the municipality as the date approaches.
