Operation Basadi sweeps eMalahleni
Roadblocks, stop-and-searches, and patrols were conducted in various areas of eMalahleni to combat crime.
The Witbank Cluster stations partnered with the traffic department, Law Enforcement, Home Affairs, and the Community Policing Forum for an effective Operation Basadi on August 7.
Vosman Station Commander, Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu, welcomed everyone who was present on behalf of Nkangala District. He outlined the operation’s goals and urged members to maintain strict professionalism when engaging with the community.

Witbank detectives focused on tracking and tracing, leading to several arrests. Patrols were also done in different sectors to deter crime, while a roadblock was conducted at Jackaroo/Old Middelburg Road.
“Everything went well, no one was injured and everything was a great success,” said Warrant Officer David Ratau from Witbank SAPS.
