Plenty of goals during the elderly soccer tournament

An elderly soccer tournament took place at the Lynnville Stadium to encourage the elderly to keep themselves fit.
The local team faced Secunda in both the ladies and men soccer teams.
The ladies soccer team from Secunda beat the local team 6-0 and the local men soccer team won 11-1.
The tournament was held on Thursday, November 14.
In the men soccer, the local team showed that they mean business from the onset as they set the tone by attacking.
They had a place-kick in the first few minutes of the game but the ball went over the bar.
An eMalahleni player beat the offside trap to score an easy goal to make it 1-0 and from there onwards it was a one way traffic.
Emalahleni had a strong defence and scored two quick goals to make it 3-0 within 30 minutes.
The Secunda goalkeeper misjudged a low ball and let the ball slipped between his legs.
Secunda playing under pressure were forced to score an own goal to make it 5-0 and the teams break for half time with eMalahleni leading 6-0.
In the second half eMalahleni continued where they left off and scored their seventh goal.
Secunda tried to regroup but they could not prevent eMalahleni to increase the goals.
The local team scored two easy goals to make it 9-0 and added two more to make it 11 and Secunda with a consolation goal to make the final score 11-1.
