Young players showing their talents at a soccer tournament
In the first match, Danco FC played against WCC FC and Danco won 2-1 and in the next match Chocolate FC played against Black Panther FC and Black Panther won 1-0
Young players displayed their talents during a seven aside soccer tournament played at Lynnville.
The tournament was organised by Pastor Ray Mabena and his team and it was organised to encourage the young players to be involved in different sports.
The four team’s tournament was played on Friday, October, 16.
The players started by clearing an open space ground which was used as a dumping site by the residents staying nearby.
After clearing the place, it was turned into a soccer field and to discourage the residents not to dump anymore.
In the first match, Danco FC played against WCC FC and Danco won 2-1 and in the next match Chocolate FC played against Black Panther FC and Black Panther won 1-0.
In the finals, Danco faced Black Panther and Black Panther were the eventual winners with a score of 5-2 after a penalty shoot-out.
Young Siya Sithole (10) Black Panther goalkeeper was the player of the tournament while Sibusiso Nkosi, their captain, lifted the cup presented to the winning team.
