Have you ever sat back on the couch as you stared at your Christmas tree planning the Christmas meal and day in your head and thought what are the weirdest Christmas traditions from around the world?

Here is some the weirdest Christmas traditions that are celebrated around the world.

In Japan, you won’t get a traditional Christmas dinner on the table but instead, you will get Kentucky Fried Chicken. As the count down to Christmas starts, the statues outside the KFC outlets all wear Santa clothes.

In Greenland, you won’t find green beans or pumpkin on your table. You will find a raw whale skin with a little blubber on your plate.

In Germany on the evening of December 5, the German children leave a boot or shoe outside their bedroom door. The next morning if the children were good they would find their shoes filled with sweets.

Also in Germany, a pickle will be hidden in the Christmas tree. The child who finds the pickle first in the tree gets a special gift from Santa.
