Lightning kills two soccer players
There have been two more lightning-related deaths in Zululand.
FOLLOWING the deaths of 11 people last weekend in Nongoma, another two people were killed by lightning on Saturday afternoon while playing a soccer match in Melmoth.
Four others were injured in the storm.
Spokesman for EMS, Robert McKenzie says it is not known how close the storm was to the soccer field when the tragedy occurred.
He appealed to communities to immediately find shelter when they see a storm approaching.
