A STROKE of luck resulted in an Empangeni woman being reunited with her precious diamond ring after it was misplaced at the Five Ways Mall Superspar.
While parking trolleys towards the end of her shift, cashier Samke Dube (25) noticed a shiny object wedged inside one of the trolleys.
She retrieved what turned out to be a valuable ring and informed her Assistant Manager about the find.
Shortly after the ring was placed in the store safe, Dube was informed that the owner had called in frantic hope that some honest person had by chance found the lost piece of jewellery and handed it in.
The relieved owner gave Dube a reward for making her day.
