All systems go at Unizulu
Unizulu says the registration process is running smoothly without any interruptions

WHILE students continue to protest over fees across the country, registration at the University of Zululand (Unizulu) has been reported peaceful with no interruptions.
According to the institution’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Institutional Support, Prof Neil Garrod, no violent has occurred and all registration operations are running smoothly.
Garrod said a Registration Plan is in place and is intended to outline the processes involving students registration.
‘Registration is progressing well with no incidents reported. We have a Registration Plan in place to ensure everything runs accordingly until all classes starts on Thursday, 4 February,’ said Garrod in a statement.
To ensure there is sufficienct data capturing, printing of forms and proofs, 45 personnel were provided in the KwaDlangezwa Campus and five in Richards Bay.
‘The plan takes into account the university’s enrolment plan as amended. All personnel were trained to cover student biographic information, registration of modules, correctness and validations and verification,’ said Garrod.
The flow processes and functionally of venue layouts is supervised and monitored.
‘Challenges and successes are being noted and reviewed,’ he said.
As learning is set to begin on 4 February, the institution is confident all systems are set to go with no glitches.
