A cheetah from Emdoneni Lodge and Cheetah Project in Hluhluwe reportedly 'attacked' a New Zealand teenager

A MINOR incident in which a cheetah scratched an New Zealand teenager has received full blown international media coverage.

The teenager was reportedly ‘attacked’ by this ‘wild cheetah’ at a Emdoneni Lodge and Cheetah Project in Hluhluwe.

Meanwhile Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Spokesperson, Musa Mntambo noted that the incident is being investigated.

‘Our regional office is investigating the facility to determine if it has all necessary permits to do the activities that it is currently conducting.

‘We trust that the investigation will take two weeks or so,’ he said.
