Touch rugby season on the cards
McCarthy Toyota touch tournament will happen when lockdown restrictions ease
WHAT would have been the 27th edition of the annual McCarthy Toyota touch rugby tournament – usually held this time of year – has been postponed, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, event organiser Dagwood van Vuuren, is committed to hosting the event this year.

‘The tournament will definitely go on, even if it runs into December. I am just waiting for the lockdown restrictions to be lifted.’
Teams comprising 10 players will compete in a round-robin format, every Tuesday and Thursday evening, at Mick Kelly Park.
The cost of entry will be R200 per team. Details will be shared as soon as dates are confirmed.
