Richards Bay run/walk goes virtual

Take on the Fish Eagle virtual run in your backyard

OWING to government regulations passed on to Athletics South Africa, the Fish Eagle run/walk to be hosted by the Richards Bay Athletics Club on Saturday, 5 December will now be a virtual event.

Athletes will have from 4.30am to 6pm on the day to complete a 42.2km, 21.1km or 10km route of their choice.

This event will motivate road runners to up their training regimes after the Covid-19 pandemic affected most organised events this year.

Every competitor who completes their registered distance will receive a medal, thanks to the sponsorship of René Bekker Properties.

The medals will be sent to all participants after the event.

The cost is R100 for the 42.2km and R50 for the 21.1km and 10km distances.

All entries will be done online at the following link – https://www.entryninja.com/events/76214-rbac-runwalk – before the closing date of 4 December.

All entrants must upload finishing times to 071 3557992 or email to bay.running@gmail.com before 11pm on 6 December.
