Planned maintenance shut of Fume Treatment Centre at Hillside Aluminium

Please be advised that Hillside Aluminium (Pty) Limited would like to give notice of a planned maintenance shut of Fume Treatment Centre One (FTC1), scheduled from 3 March 2021 at 6am to 5 March 2021 at 6am.

Due to routine scheduled maintenance of the Fume Treatment Centre, which is a key part of the smelter, there may be periods where smoke from the Bake Furnaces at Hillside could be visible. Residents are advised that this is a normal occurrence when shutting down and restarting the FTC for maintenance.
