Richards Bay FC suffered a nightmare result on Saturday afternoon, going down 3-1 to Cape Umoya United.

Not only was this their biggest defeat of the season, it also brought to an end a 15-match unbeaten streak.

To make matters worse, closest rivals Sekhukhune United breezed past Cape Town All Stars 2-0 to wrest the GladAfrica National First Division top spot from NRB, who do however have a game in hand.

Richards Bay will remain in that part of the world as they take on Cape Town All Stars on Tuesday in a must-win fixture if they want to get their title challenge back on track.

They return to the uMhlathuze Stadium to play Polokwane City next Saturday and Free State Stars on Tuesday 13 April.
