WATCH: EFF march to protest lack of service delivery

There was a large police presence but all regulations were complied with

A SERVICE delivery march in protest of poor electricity supply, bad roads, lack of water supply and high rates in the City of uMhlathuze was led by the EFF on Friday in Richards Bay.

Hundreds of members participating in the peaceful demonstration assembled at the ZCBF community park in Alton, and made their way through the central business district to the municipal offices to hand over their memorandum of grievances, demanding response within seven days.

A large contingent of traffic police and SAPS units was visible, with Richards Bay station commander Brigadier Mhluleni Mngomezulu at the forefront.
