RBIDZ instills a sense of pride by giving back to a local school

"Your generosity has made a significant impact on our community"

The RBIDZ, in its drive and continuous contribution to school support and skills development through Corporate Social Investment Programme, has partnered with Mcabango High School in Madlankala, outside Esikhaleni by donating a directional signage to the school. The signage clearly indicates and points out the school and its entrance.

Following the distribution of comfort packs for learners, which incorporated face towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary towels amongst other items not so long ago, the RBIDZ has further enhanced the school’s visibility through the directional signage making it easier for people to find and identify the school from the main road. The new signage does not only improve visibility and safety but has instilled a sense of pride and boosted morale among learners and teachers, also promoting a positive school culture.

Learners delight in the new signage

The RBIDZ’s donation demonstrates its ongoing commitment to supporting communities and education through its various programmes driven under Corporate Social Investment programme aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the local communities, providing support for skills development and education initiatives, addressing social challenges and building partnerships with local stakeholders. With education being the key priority for every child, partnership arrangements of this nature provide schools with much-needed support as they optimise resources for schools and learners to thrive.

Seeing the installed signage, with the school logo and pointing to the direction of the school, the Principal could not hold her excitement and she said, “We are deeply grateful to RBIDZ Special Economic Zone for donating our first ever directional signage board in the 32 years of the school’s operation and existence.  Your generosity has made a significant impact on our community,” further remarked Ms. T. Ngubane-Ntombela, Principal of Mcabango High School.
