The court heard that on Monday, 29 June 2022 at about 11am, community members of the Gedlasi area in Bhadeni outside Dumbe caught a suspect driving stolen cattle and quickly informed the area’s Induna.

The Induna summoned the SAPS and while they were waiting for the police, Nkosi arrived and took away the suspect.

When Zulu asked why he was taking the suspect away, Nkosi shot him in the face. He was declared dead at the scene.

The court also heard that when Nyandeni approached Nkosi to ask him why he killed Zulu, Nkosi shot him in the head, and he also died at the scene.

Nkosi was found guilty on both counts of murder and sentenced to a double life imprisonment sentence.
