Hijacked vehicle recovered in Mandeni

A high-speed chase ensued on the streets of Mandeni on Monday morning after a security company spotted a hijacked vehicle.

After receiving information that a hijacked Ford Ranger was heading into Mandeni, IPSS Tactical Response Team members located the vehicle in the Isithebe industrial area.

The suspect was instructed to drive in convoy to the Mandeni Police Station but, while driving towards the station, fled at high speed towards the freeway.

IPSS Tactical Response pursued the fleeing vehicle and intercepted it after a short chase.

The suspect was apprehended and the vehicle taken to the nearest police station.
