Two die in Friday accidents on N2 near Empangeni

Two accidents occurred in the Empangeni area on Friday during wet weather conditions, claiming two lives.

The first collision involved a truck and light delivery vehicle, and occurred on the N2 at the R102 intersection.

The roadway was partially obstructed while emergency services worked to treat the patients.

Sadly, two people sustained fatal injuries, while a further two occupants were seriously injured.

The second accident involved a single vehicle that rolled on the N2 in the vicinity of the Engen garage near eSikhaleni.

No injuries were reported from this scene.
