Women’s conference awareness fundraiser

Human trafficking awareness fundraiser to be held in Richards Bay

Human trafficking prevention, awareness and advocacy project, Stop Trafficking of People (STOP) is hosting the Daughters of Destiny women’s conference on Tuesday, 25 March.

The fundraiser will support awareness talks in primary and high schools, and focus on human trafficking awareness for the youth, as well as the importance of body safety for primary school learners.

To be held in Meerensee at the Richards Bay Primary School hall from 5.45pm, tickets cost R200 per person and proceeds will benefit 1 000 learner beneficiaries who will receive soft toys and sanitary pads after awareness talks presented by Dr Corinne Sandenbergh.

The project aims to empower children to not be victims but victorious fighters, teaching them how to protect themselves.
