Rabies cases rise in King Cetshwayo District

Pet and livestock owners urged to vaccinate their animals amid alarming rabies cases in KZN

As rabies numbers increase across King Cetshwayo District, and KZN as a whole, pet and livestock owners are once again urged to ensure their animals’ vaccinations are up to date.

While feral animals could be carriers of the disease, vaccination of all pets goes a long way to keeping cases down.

KZN rabies figures show an alarming increase in the disease in King Cetshwayo District, with four cases between 16 July and 22 August.
