Man critically injured in N2 crash near Empangeni

A male patient has been transported to Melomed Hospital in critical condition after the bakkie he was driving lost control, overturned, and flung him out the vehicle on the N2 southbound between the R34 off-ramp and the Engen service station.

The crash occurred at around 1pm, prompting a full response from emergency services.

The incident blocked two southbound lanes, leaving only the emergency lane open while responders worked to clear the scene.
