TIRED but extremely happy, Siyanda Thabede’s angling efforts paid dividends when he landed the catch of his life off the northern breakwater at Alkantstrand on Saturday.

Fishing off the dolosse, Siyanda hooked into the beauty shortly after 7pm and was given a good half-hour fight before landing his prize – a 35kg dagga salmon.
