Cheryl cruises to a prize win

CHERYL Preston of Richards Bay is overjoyed at winning a competition for the first time in her life – and what a prize it is.

Her name was drawn from the ‘hat’ at The Mission to Seafarers on Tuesday and she now can prepare for a super four-day luxury cruise for two to the Portuguese Islands in Mozambique.

Cheryl was one of a number of people who participated in the Seafarers’ golf day raffle competition and she beat them all to claim the wonderful MSC Cruises prize.

‘I would like to firstly extend my congratulations to her, and wish her well on the cruise,’ said Seafarers chaplain Mark Classen.

‘I’d like to also extend my gratitude, on behalf to The Mission to Seafarers, to everyone who participated in our golf day, but also to all who purchased a raflle ticket for the aforesaid cruise.

‘Your support is much appreciated.

‘In the same breath, we would like to invite everyone to our next golf day, which will be held on 28 October 2017, again at the Richards Bay Country Club.

‘We seek sponsorships, prizes and/or donations, but more importantly, to come join us on the golf course.

‘Lastly to our sponsor, MSC Cruises, we would like to thank them for their kindness in offering this awesome prize.

‘ We are deeply indebted to them, as they not only helped us raise the profile, but also helped us gain some much needed revenue,’ said Rev Classen.

‘In this regard, we would like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to know more about our missionary work.

‘We offer a membership of just R200 per annum, and we invite anyone to come visit our centre in the port.

‘If anyone would like me to come give them a presentation, please feel free to contact me on 082 7445554.’
