Teboho Mokgomatha aims to inspire youth with new music and bold artistry

Teboho Mokgomatha is pushing his craft while aiming to uplift children, charities, and the global hip-hop scene.

Tsakani – Teboho “Coelacanth OG” Mokgomatha (24) is a rising hip-hop artist whose musical journey began while he was still in school. He started making music in 2021 to make a name for himself and an uplift from his background.

Over the years, he has worked with several local artists, including Cubik East, Sway Keys, and Kelvin Kay-C, and hopes to one day collaborate with Kaine Kid, Loutinova Pounds, Maglera Doe Boy, and Thato Soul. Teboho has produced tracks such as It’s Motive, Prone to Be, Orchestra, and Solar Plexus.

“My fans can expect an album to be released soon titled Aflame de Flicker. I named it after my high school slogan.

“Aflame de Flicker is nearly done. There are about five songs left. The second album I am working on is based on the biblical story of Samson and Delilah,” he explained.

“I portrayed the fall of Samson, how he lost his power and rose from the ashes like a phoenix. I called the piece OG n Floozy, and I even cut my own sacred locks to embody the character.”

Teboho’s aim is to spread his music as widely as possible while making a positive impact on young people. His goal is to make a name for himself both locally and globally.

“I want to give back to charities, especially orphanages. I want to inspire children and help them aspire to be like Coelacanth OG. I want to touch souls whenever I release music and help people heal with me through my artistry,” he said.

More music and new projects are on the way from Teboho as he continues striving to work with major artists around the world and contribute to the renewal of hip-hop culture.
