Kwa-Thema – The EMPD Community Liaison Unit, in conjunction with SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit, conducted an intelligence-driven operation on September 10, which resulted in the arrest of a suspect linked to a hijacking incident in Kwa-Thema.

According to the EMPD, officers received information regarding the whereabouts of a wanted suspect, who was involved in the hijacking of a black Mercedes-Benz on Ntshengu Street.

Acting on the information received, officers proceeded to Thwala Street where they located and arrested the suspect.

The 34-year-old was detained at the Kwa-Thema Police Station and was expected to appear before the Springs Magistrate’s Court soon.
