What is the importance of women in society?

As we celebrate women this month, we asked the residents of Kwatsaduza why women are important in society.

Dumisani Nzimande: “Women are important because they increase and multiply people on earth.”
Raltan De Leeuw: “Women keep our children safe, without them families would break.”
Lihle Nzima: “Women keep children safe in the community. They are the ones who must rise up and make sure that children have after-school programmes to reduce the level of drug abuse in the society.”
Lindi: “Women carry answers and solutions for this nation. It is not a mistake that God created a woman to help in the garden in the Bible.”
Gabriel Ntanjane: “A woman is the neck since a man is the head, so the head needs the neck.”
Zandile Mazaza: “A woman can turn a house into a home and a small thing into a big thing. Her love and warmth are what makes her important.”
Thulani Mtshali: “Women gave birth to us, so we must always make them a priority.”
